What is Adverse Credit

People with a history of defaults, mortgage arrears, late payments, bankruptcy or County Court Judgments (CCj's) or bad credit are often described as having 'adverse credit'.

When somebody makes an application for a mortgage, the lender has the facility to search the person's credit file (sometimes called 'credit history') to help them to decide if they are likely to be able to repay the loan. People with adverse credit will appear to be a more risky lend. Call us on 01625 503000, or apply here.

why does my bank not offer an adverse credit mortgage

Individuals with an adverse credit history are often turned down for mortgages by many high street lenders as they are deemed to be of a higher risk than someone who does not have adverse credit.

The good news is that it should not prevent you from obtaining a mortgage at sensible rates and on acceptable terms. Our lenders understand your situation and are willing to lend to people with a less than perfect credit history, this also applies to remortgages should you wish to re-mortgage your present property to raise additional cash.

We are specialists in providing mortgages regardless of your past or present problems, don’t delay pick up the phone or complete our online express application form now. Call us on 01625 503000, or apply here.
